Adults love Broadway too! During each session every class member gets the chance to get up and work on material with our musical director. Songs can be of their own choosing, as well as learn new material that has been assigned by the teacher. We’ll focus on your acting choices, song interpretation, and style, as well as understanding your “type” and the best way to pick material that suits you. In this class you learn as much from watching your other classmates as you do from your own time up front. This class is a lot of fun! Plus you’ll learn from a real Broadway performer all the tricks to make your performance a WINNER!
*There is an end of session Cabaret Show performance for friends and family!
*Taught by CSS-SC Creative Director and Broadway veteran actor Michael Wallot
ACTING INTENSIVE - SCENE STUDY(Ages 18 – Adult) Fee: $200 for 8 sessions or $100 for 4 Sessions (ongoing class) ALL LEVELS from Beginner to Pro! **Class meets weekly
This class will work on the fundamentals essential to the actor’s process. Focus will be on being truthful and honest in the work, working organically from the heart; emotional release, vulnerability, being present in the moment, perceptive power, use of imagination, and the importance of authenticity and the use of self in the creative process. Essentially, the workshop will focus on how to work from the inside out. We will work on both monologues and scenes. Those new to acting will find the workshop an ideal beginning. For those more experienced, we will explore more of the specifics of the craft such as: creating a character foundation, determining specific wants and conflicts, emotional thru-line, dealing with obstacles, atmosphere, environment, physical choices, reaction, transition and more. The class will be geared differently for each student.
*Taught by CSS-SC Creative Director and Broadway veteran actor/director Michael Wallot |
